Energy Mutodi, born on 4 August in 1978 is a musician, politician and businessman. He won the Goromonzi West National Assembly seat after defeating Luke Tamborinyoka and Clifford Nhambura who were both representing MDC Alliance.

He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) in 2001 and a Certificate in Defense Management from South Africa’s Witwatersrand University.
The controversial politician has also previously enrolled for Master’s Degree in Business Administration at UZ.
Before finally getting the node to represent Zanu PF in the 2018 Harmonised elections, Mutodi contested and lost a primary election to Beater Nyamupinga in 2013.
Mutodi is in the construction business, writing books (Geography textbooks for Secondary school) and is a part-time lecturer.
The flamboyant businessman is also famed for the infamous “I AM THE BOSS) cup that drew a lot of fire for the now President Emmerson Mnangagwa from former First lady Grace Mugabe.
