We know him best for his usual late Parliament entrances, on the days he decides to attend he naps a few minutes after arrival into the sitting and when he eventually wakes up he is usually on his phone and before sitting is over he takes his leave.
Member of Parliament for Mutoko South Honourable David Chapfika has this time around made headlines for personal reasons following a divorce case with his wife of over 32 years on allegations of adultery .
Hon Chapfika constantly offers followers of @Open Parly ZW a field day of hilarious moments in Parliamentary sittings. The MP is usually caught doing the wrong thing at the wrong time like chatting on whatsapp, sleeping in parliament or being completely absent minded. He has once again attracted attention for the wrong reasons and things are not going to turn out hilarious for our interesting MP this time around.
Hon. David Chapfika and Hon. Nicholas Goche are busy eating sweets and not paying attention to the child marriage debate.

Hon Chapfika is being sued by his wife for half of their shared properties, over accusations of extra marital affairs. The MP has appealed to the court to give room to settle issues with his wife amicably. The wife however is adamant that the marriage is now irretrievable as the MP sees nothing wrong with having more than two wives.
Hon Chapfika who is also the chairperson of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Finance and Economic Development and former chairperson of the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board has had his fair share of court cases over the last years .
In 2014 Chapfika was taken to court along with his brother over mining claims disagreements where he was accused of violating shareholdings agreements.
Earlier this year Hon Chapfika and his wife were taken to court by CABS over a debt owed by their company.
This debt later turned out to have been obtained dubiously by the MP who acquired it using his late brother’s estate as security without the knowledge of the estate beneficiaries. The wife of the late brother found out leading to the MP being charged.
David Chapfika is a Zimbabwean business man turned politician who and a staunch ZANU-PF member. He was elected into parliament in July 2013 to represent Mutoko South Constituency
