Peter Christopher Mutekwatekwa Chingosho is Zanu PF legislator for Headlands in the National Assembly; he was born on the 21st of June in 1952 in Rusape and is married.

Academic Qualifications

Secondary       : ‘A’ Level (St. Augustine’s Mission)



Roma National University (Lesotho), Bachelor of Public Administration Degree, University of Zimbabwe MPA, Master’s Degree in Public Administration (UZ), Master’s Degree in International Relations ( UZ)

Political History

15 March 1975- went to Mozambique for the Zimbabwe Liberation Struggle, 1978-81 went to Roma University, Lesotho, 1979 was one of the founder members of the first Zanu PF Lesotho Branch, (Lesotho) and was elected to be the first Zanu PF Chief of Security (Lesotho), 1987 was elected Chairman of the Chipinge District Unit Accord for Zanu PF and Zapu PF, 1988-1992- was elected Manicaland Provincial Committee member Zanu PF and was then elevated to Provincial Secretary for Publicity and Information during the chairmanship of late National Hero Cde Kumbirai Kangai, 1994-2004- was the Manicaland Zanu PF Provincial Secretary for Administration during the Chairmanship of the late National Hero Cde Zororo Willard Duri and Provincial Hero Cde Shadreck Beta, 2000-2005-was the Provincial Administrator, Mashonaland East.

Career in General

1972-temporary teacher, Shamu Primary School, Murewa District Mashonaland East, 1979- While a student at Roma University, Lesotho, was principal (part-time) of the World University Service (WUS) night school at the University whose Teachers were voluntary students, at Independence was team leader at the ministry of manpower, DA and PA for 25 Years, Director and Principal Director under Ministry of Women’s Affairs and August- December 2018- Deputy Minister for Local Government.
